Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 April 2026

1. About Cashroll

Cashroll is a payments and invoicing platform for UK-based freelancers. It is operated by Cashroll Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Who can use Cashroll

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United Kingdom. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date. One person or business entity per account.

3. What we provide

Cashroll lets you create quotes, send invoices, collect payments via Stripe, and send automated payment reminders to your clients. We do not provide accounting, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for your own tax obligations, including VAT where applicable.

4. Payments and fees

All payments are processed through Stripe Connect. Cashroll charges a platform fee of 2% on each successful transaction, in addition to Stripe’s standard processing fees. Fees are deducted automatically from each payment before funds reach your Stripe account. A full breakdown of fees is shown on every transaction.

There are no monthly subscriptions, setup fees, or minimum charges. You only pay when you get paid.

5. Stripe Connect

To receive payments, you must complete Stripe’s Express onboarding process. By doing so, you agree to Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement. Cashroll does not hold, transfer, or manage funds directly — all money flows through Stripe.

6. Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of quotes and invoices you send.
  • You must not use Cashroll for illegal activity, fraud, or to process payments for prohibited goods or services.
  • You are responsible for your relationship with your clients, including disputes over work delivered.
  • You must keep your account credentials secure and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

7. Automated reminders

Cashroll can send automated payment reminder emails to your clients on your behalf. You are responsible for ensuring these reminders are appropriate and that your clients have a reasonable expectation of receiving them. You can disable reminders at any time.

8. Availability and liability

We aim to keep Cashroll available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for losses caused by downtime, payment processing delays, or errors in Stripe’s systems. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid to Cashroll in the 12 months preceding any claim.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or if required by law. On termination, any pending payouts will be processed through Stripe in the normal course.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Cashroll after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
